What is Community Supported Agriculture(CSA)?
As a community member, you make an investment in our farm each year and in return receive a box of food each week during the farming season as well as one free health consultation to assist you with utilizing your produce for your health, discounts on farm events such as Bare Foot Yoga and food support groups, participation in our community projects like food preservation and book club and the opportunity to try other local products such as Sacred Blossom Tea.
Participating in a CSA takes it’s members on a journey into how their food is grown. We take our holistic practices very seriously, so there may be times when your produce comes less-than perfect– because of pests like Cabbage Loopers or Japanese Beetles, or due to weather(hail, drought) or animal damage(We have lots of cute bunnies, large deer and teeny tiny mice).
Our season lasts approximately 16-18 weeks(depending on weather) During the summer members learn about what produce is ready when, try new foods and enjoy the staples. In each box you receive not only produce, but information about the farm including on and off-farm related events, community feedback, recipes and fun facts.
